Carol's Thoughts [1 Image]
"Everything I look at registers in my mind as a
potential painting. I believe that an artist
should work with a variety of subject matter in
order to stay fresh, and to prevent stagnation. I
have an extensive body of work that reflects my
love of nature as well as my fascination with
people.
One of my favorite subjects is the sea, I love the
water, the sounds near the ocean and especially
the ever changing seaside light. I combine my love
of the seascape and the human form in my marine
paintings, which are mostly of women and children
near the waters edge.
Whether painting landscapes, floral, collage, or
figurative works my intentions are the same, I try
to connect with the subject’s attitude, essence,
expression, and emotion at a certain moment in
time. Most of all I try to communicate a sense of
joy and wonderment in my paintings.
I am an exhibiting Artist, who has won numerous
awards, and has given demonstrations, and
workshops throughout the Sacramento, and the
surrounding areas."
